Background: Juliet was one of the fortunate 101 dogs rescued from the harrowing conditions of Siheung dog meat farm in 2022. She endured days in a filthy wire enclosure, surviving on inedible scraps of human food waste. Despite having four puppies at the farm, she showed no interest in caring for them, leading the shelter staff to raise them. After being rescued, Juliet displayed skittish behavior and a lack of trust towards people. Following a year of training, she blossomed into a happy and affectionate girl.

Current Environment: Juliet arrived in Toronto on April 6th and joined her brother, Dolsae, now Romeo, who was adopted in February this year. Overjoyed by their reunion, Juliet now lives with a foster family and her brother in Pickering, ON.

Personality: Juliet is a charming and affectionate girl, radiating playfulness, happiness, and love. She is sociable with a moderate energy level, making her an ideal companion for a loving family.

Behaviors: After spending a year at a training school in Korea, she is well-trained on a leash, and well-behaved during baths and car rides. While she may feel a bit nervous in new environments, she quickly warms up. She delights in playing with toys and remains relaxed indoors.

Socialization: Juliet enjoys spending time with her canine companions and people alike. She shows great affection towards familiar faces, relishing kisses and belly rubs. Additionally, she delights in running around and playing with her brother in the backyard.

Health: Juliet has undergone thorough vet check-ups and is healthy with no concerns. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes have been administered, and she has not shown any allergies so far.

Ideal Home: Juliet seeks a forever family that is patient and has ample time to dedicate to their furry companion. She would thrive as the only dog or with another mature, gentle male dog. While a peaceful neighborhood is preferred, the key factor is the family’s dedication and readiness for a joyful life together.
