About When Hounds Fly:

Founded in 2010 by Andre Yeu, When Hounds Fly is a positive reinforcement and fear-free based training organization with centres in Toronto and Vancouver. Since then, over 16,000 (and counting) dogs and their families have taken classes with them. They are proud to have the largest number of Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partners (KPA CTPs) and Certified Professional Dog Trainers (CPDT-KAs) on staff of any training organization in Canada. Their programs and classes are tailored to a wide range of individual needs.

About Ethan Spiegel:

Ethan joined the When Hounds Fly instructor team in 2023 after he earned his Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP) designation from his instructor and mentor Andre Yeu, founder of When Hounds Fly.

His interest in studying canine social behavior began when he was working with dogs at a dog daycare in midtown Toronto, where he gained extensive knowledge and experience handling dogs of various breeds and temperaments.

Ethan’s focus in dog training lies in assisting dogs dealing with aggression and reactivity. In the world of cooperative care, Ethan has worked with many dogs that struggle with body-handling issues and other sensitivities. He also has extensive personal experience overcoming these issues with his own family dog, Chester.
