Get monthly updates about dogs like Yomi and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Background: Yomi was rescued this spring from a city pound in Yangsan, Korea. After spending some time at another shelter, he joined our partner boarding house this summer, where he has been living peacefully with other dogs.

Personality and Socialization: Yomi is selective when it comes to other dogs. While he gets along with gentle ones, he isn’t fond of bossy or hyper dogs and will growl if they annoy him. We believe he would thrive as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the attention and love. He enjoys staying close to his humans and is affectionate, making him an ideal companion for a one-dog household. Yomi would chase and bark at cats.

Behaviors: Yomi enjoys being with people and is well-mannered indoors. He uses pee pads and hasn’t been destructive. He’s comfortable during car rides and handles baths well. Yomi loves his walks but he can get a bit cautious in the new environments.

Health and Diet: Yomi is neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated. He receives monthly parasite prevention and has no known allergies. He eats dry kibble twice daily.

Ideal Home: Yomi would thrive in a calm and gentle household where he can be the center of attention and love. A relaxed environment with someone at home most of the time would make him happiest. He is perfect for someone who works from home or is retired, as he loves being close to his humans. Yomi is a lovely baby. Whoever adopts him will be very lucky.
