In September 2022, a heartbreaking incident occurred in the countryside of Paju when a puppy was reported to have drowned in a waterway. Despite being sent to a high-kill shelter, this fortunate pup was rescued from euthanasia. Currently, she lives with a foster family.

The name “Suro” was bestowed upon her, derived from the Korean word for waterway, symbolizing the place where she was discovered. Suro, initially a bit reserved around unfamiliar faces, gradually opens up and reveals her sweet and friendly nature with the passage of time. As a young and energetic dog, she thrives on going for walks, engaging in playful activities with her toys and other canines. She has a preference for relieving herself outdoors during walks and if needed, uses a designated area indoors as well.

Suro embodies the characteristics of a typical Jindo breed: intelligent, inquisitive, playful, loyal, intuitive, and incredibly affectionate. However, she currently grapples with separation anxiety, feeling anxious when left alone. Therefore, her ideal adopter would be someone who can provide a constant presence, someone who is frequently at home and appreciates outdoor adventures with their furry companion. Suro’s happiness soars when she accompanies her humans on nature excursions and spends quality time with them.
