Get monthly updates about dogs like Seowon and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Background: Seobom was one of 16 dogs saved from a hoarding situation. The elderly owner fell ill and was hospitalized. The dogs were left neglected, causing complaints from neighbors. A shelter volunteer discovered the issue, eventually leading to the rescue of all the dogs.

Living Environment: Seowon has been living with other dogs in a shelter. He especially stays close to those who were rescued from the same hoarding situation.

Personality: Seowon is a quiet, gentle, and submissive boy. He stays mostly chill but sometimes he gets cheerful especially when he gets treats. With medium to low energy, Seowon is a shy but gentle boy.

Behaviors: Seowon is a neat and well-behaved dog who keeps his kennel clean and doesn’t show signs of separation anxiety. While he is fine with taking baths, he bears with it. He experiences mild car sickness. Walking on a leash is a new experience for him, but he’s motivated by treats. Seowon has never shown any aggression; he is just a generally shy dog.

Socialization: Seowon is good with other dogs, especially if they’re friendly and calm, no matter their size. He’s shy around new people but warms up over time, becoming mellow and sweet once he’s comfortable.

Health: Initially heartworm positive, Seowon completed treatments and is now healthy. Neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated, he receives monthly preventative care.

Ideal Home: Seowon is best suited for someone experienced with dogs, especially those like him who prefer a quiet and relaxed environment. A house with a fenced backyard would facilitate his smooth transition. He would also benefit from having another gentle furry sibling. Seowon requires a patient and committed individual who is ready to dedicate time, training, and loving care to him.
