Get monthly updates about dogs like Rosa 3 and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.
Background: Rosa was rescued from a neglectful pet shop owner, where she and seven other dogs were confined to a tiny, dark room with no sunlight. Despite that harsh start, Rosa’s gentle spirit remained unbroken. Since being rescued, she has been living with other dogs at our partner boarding house.
Personality and Socialization: Rosa is an affectionate and gentle girl with a medium energy level. She’s wonderfully social and enjoys the company of other dogs, especially those around her size. Rosa is not shy around strangers or men and loves being around people, displaying the classic sweet and friendly poodle personality traits. She’s an adorable companion who will shower you with love and plenty of kisses. She has no experience with cats or young children.
Behavior: Rosa is good in the car, often falling asleep quietly during the rides. She’s also well-behaved at the vet’s office and handles baths and grooming well. While she has had limited experience with leash walks, she hasn’t shown any destructive behaviors and adjusts well to new situations.
Health and Diet: Rosa has completed all medical examinations and is in good health, ready for her new family. She is vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and receives regular parasite treatments. Rosa currently eats dry kibble twice a day. She does have some tear stains, so we recommend switching to hypoallergenic kibble to help with that.
Ideal Home: Rosa is a sweetheart who adores being with people. Her ideal home would be with a family where someone is home most of the time—whether that’s someone working from home or retired with plenty of time to spend with her. Rosa is smart and eager to learn, but since she has limited experience with things like leash walking, a patient family that understands her needs and is willing to guide her as she continues to grow would be wonderful.
