Background: Penny was rescued from a city pound in Milyang, Korea this spring. Since her rescue, she has been living at our boarding house in Korea with other dogs, slowly learning that the world can be a kind place.
Personality and Socialization: Penny is a gentle and quiet girl with a calm energy. She’s shy when meeting new people, but once she feels safe, her sweet and affectionate side shines through. She gets along well with other dogs, especially those similar in size. She prefers calm and friendly companions and tends to feel overwhelmed by overly dominant or hyper dogs. Penny has not had any exposure to cats or young children.
Behavior: Penny is still getting used to leash walking, but she naturally stays close to her person when outside. She’s intelligent and picks up on routines quickly with gentle, consistent guidance. She handles baths, car rides, and vet visits without trouble. Indoors, Penny is quiet and easygoing. She enjoys playing with her toys and isn’t overly needy—she’s content just being nearby.
Health & Diet: Penny is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. She receives regular parasite prevention and has tested negative for parasites and heartworm. She eats dry kibble twice a day and has no known allergies.
Ideal Home: Penny would do best with someone who has experience with shy dogs and lives in a calm, quiet environment. A patient adopter who understands that building trust takes time would be ideal. She would also benefit from living with another gentle and confident dog who can help her continue to grow.
Penny is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Penny is $780.
Note: US adopters are responsible for customs clearance fee, which is approximately $140 USD.
