Background: Olla and her sister, Namu, were rescued from the streets of Paju, Korea, in 2021. Olla spent years in a shelter until earlier this year when she found her foster home. Currently, Olla lives with a foster family: her foster mom, her adult daughter, and another dog. Namu was adopted in Toronto last year, and now it’s Olla’s turn to find her forever home.

Personality: Despite being shy and timid around strangers, Olla is known for her gentle and submissive nature with medium to low energy levels.

Behaviors: Olla is comfortable with baths and car rides but fears leashes. While she is slowly adjusting to them, her adopter should be prepared to start leash training as she remains nervous wearing a harness and leash. Olla uses indoor peepads and enjoys outdoor activities on a rooftop space. A fenced backyard is essential for her transition. She shows no signs of separation anxiety, is quiet, non-destructive, and well-behaved indoors.

Socialization: Olla is initially reserved with strangers but becomes friendly once she gets to know them. She interacts well with other dogs, displaying gentleness and avoiding conflicts regardless of size or temperament. While she lacks experience with cats, the foster believes her gentle nature could make her compatible with feline companions. Olla has no experience with young children.

Health: Olla is in good health, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. She receives monthly parasite preventatives.

Ideal Home: Olla’s ideal family should have experience with shy rescue dogs like her, requiring patience in communication. The adopter should reside in a house with a fenced backyard to aid Olla’s gradual leash training and walks. Another furry companion is recommended as Olla thrives in the company of happy and confident dogs, mirroring their behaviors to build trust and confidence. Olla is a gentle and loving soul, seeking a nurturing environment for her continued growth and happiness.

Olla 2 is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Olla 2 is $780.
