Niki

Background: Niki was rescued earlier this spring from a city pound in Changwon, Korea. Since then, she has been living safely with other dogs at our boarding house.

Personality and Socialization: Niki is a gentle, well-mannered, and affectionate girl. She has a medium energy level and a calm, sweet temperament. Since her arrival, she’s been friendly with everyone—including men and strangers. Niki isn’t demanding; she’s the kind of dog who quietly follows you around, simply happy to be near. A truly sweet and loving companion, she brings warmth without ever asking for much.

With other dogs, Niki is respectful and prefers the company of gentle, friendly dogs. She’s not a fan of dogs who are overly dominant or too high-energy. While she hasn’t been tested with cats or young children, we believe she could do well with proper, slow introductions.

Behaviours: Niki is well in the car and is calm at the vet and during baths. She doesn’t have much experience with leash walking yet, but she naturally likes to follow her person and enjoys being outdoors. Indoors, she’s very quiet, rarely barks, and we haven’t observed any signs of separation anxiety so far.

Health and Diet: When Niki was first rescued, she tested positive for anaplasmosis, a tick-borne illness. She has since completed treatment and is now healthy and thriving. She’s spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. She also receives monthly parasite prevention and has no known allergies. Niki eats dry kibble twice a day.

Ideal Home: Niki is an easygoing, and sweet girl who would be perfect for someone looking for a quiet, mellow companion. She’d do especially well in a peaceful home with someone who is retired or works from home and can spend lots of time with her. Given her gentle personality, Niki would be a great fit for a first-time dog parent or someone looking to add a friendly, easygoing second dog to their home.

Whoever adopts Niki will be very lucky—she’s a quiet, gentle soul who will bring warmth and calm to any home.
