Nene, a 9-year-old female Maltese, has a heartwarming story of resilience and hope. Once caught in the harsh realities of a grim puppy mill where she was one of 1,400 dogs, her life took a turn for the better when she was rescued and brought to safety.
Upon joining us, Nene underwent a comprehensive health check-up. The results were encouraging – she’s in good health overall. Despite having many teeth removed and being left with only nine, she faces no challenges in eating kibbles and has a hearty appetite. All her dental work, including scaling, has been completed, marking her as a trooper through and through.
Nene’s personality is a blend of friendliness and affection. She’s particularly good with other small dogs, exuding a gentle and loving nature. Her sweet temperament quickly endears her to everyone she meets. Although she prefers the company of less dominant dogs, she thrives in the presence of people. Nene has become a favorite among shelter volunteers, always eager to stay close and share her affection.
