Mong was rescued from a dog tonic shop in Korea last January. The dog tonic, Gaesoju in Korean, is a drink that is made with dog meat and herbs. Many people in Korea consider it as health supplement. He was one of the seven puppies who were locked in a cage in front of the shop. When a puppy is selected by a customer, he/she is killed for Gaesoju. Luckily the seven puppies were all rescued and are waiting for their forever families.

Five of the seven puppies who have been adopted by wonderful families in Canada. Now it’s Mong’s turn.

Mong is a mini Korean Sapsari mix, who is playful, friendly and sweet. But he has some separation anxiety. The ideal candidate would be someone working from home or retired. Having other dogs around would be also helpful.

He is currently at a foster home in Toronto.
