Get monthly updates about dogs like Minki and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.
Minki was rescued from a hingkill shelter in Korea last July. At first, the rescuer hesitated to resucue Minki because she was so skinny, small, and seemed sick. The rescuer thought that she would probably die soon. But the rescuer couldn’t turn her way; Minki’s eyes were so deep and filled with sorrow and desperation. The rescuer decided to take her out of the highkill shelter. She told Minki, ‘Oh poor baby… if you die, you will die in my arms, not in the cold, filthy cage.’
Minki is a little bit shy around strangers, but after spending some time, she usually becomes friendly and sweet. She has typical characteristics of Maltese; playful, affectionate, fearless, responsive, and intelligent. Minki gets along well with other dogs and loves people especially people that she sees often.
The ideal family would be someone with experiences with Maltese or at least with similar small breeds. People retired or working from home are always great. Since she will need medications for the rest of her life, financial stability is also very important.
She has valvular heart disease. She needs medications for the rest of her life. Other than that, she is healthy.
DHPPL, Canine Influenza, Kennel Cough, Rabies, Corona, Heartworm test, Giardia test, Flea & tick & heatworm prevention are all done.
