Background: Leo was a stray dog found in a small village in Daegu, Korea. He was well-known to local people for his friendliness. Last winter, Leo arrived at our partner boarding house, where he lived with other dogs until he left Korea. Currently, he lives with his foster in Cambridge, ON.

Personality: Leo is known for his gentle, friendly, and sociable nature. He is sweet, submissive, and easy-going with a moderate energy level.

Behaviors: Leo maintains a calm and friendly demeanor indoors and around other dogs. He behaves well, enjoys the company of his canine companions, and handles car rides and baths without a fuss. Leo is house-trained and prefers to do his business outside. While Leo generally walks well on a leash, he may exhibit some pulling behavior when he discovers squirrels. Leo is typically quiet and doesn’t bark when indoors.

Socialization: Leo gets along well with dogs of all sizes and personalities at the boarding house, knowing how to maintain harmony and cherish their company. Whether playing with a lively puppy or being gentle with an older or shy dog, Leo shows respect and makes friends easily. He is also a pro at welcoming new dogs to the boarding house, handling introductions with care and consideration.

When it comes to people, Leo is friendly, affectionate, and a real favorite among volunteers. He loves attention, pets, and snuggles, making him a great companion. He has no experience with cats or young children yet.

Health: Leo was rescued with heartworms but has since completed his treatment. He is in good health and ready for his forever home. He has been neutered, microchipped, and kept up-to-date with vaccinations. Additionally, Leo receives monthly preventative treatments for both internal and external parasites to ensure his ongoing well-being.

Ideal Home: Leo would thrive with an adopter who works from home, is retired, or is often present as he craves human companionship. His loving nature and energy level make him suitable for first-time dog owners or those looking to add a second dog to their family. Leo is a gentle, friendly, and affectionate boy. If you seek a loyal and sweet companion who will stay by your side, Leo is the perfect match for you.
