Background: Kyungjoo and his brother Andong were discovered in a small village in Paju, Korea. They were brought to a highkill shelter but were saved before they could be put down.

Living Environment: Since being rescued, Kyungjoo has been staying in a shelter with other dogs.

Personality: Kyungjoo is a lovely and affectionate boy, although it may take him some time to open up. He tends to be shy around people he doesn’t know but once he gets to know them and comfortable, he becomes friendly and playful.

Behavior: In the shelter, Kyungjoo hasn’t shown signs of separation anxiety. He enjoys playing alone and loves treats, which makes training fun for him. He feels a bit nervous during baths and when wearing a harness and leash, but he’s slowly improving. Kyungjoo is tidy and keeps his area clean.

Socialization: Kyungjoo is initially shy around strangers but warms up to those he trusts. His ideal adopter would be patient and experienced with dogs who are cautious around new people. He generally gets along well with other dogs but prefers those who aren’t overly hyper or dominant. Kyungjoo hasn’t had experience with cats or young children.

Health: Kyungjoo is in good health with no concerns. He is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, and receives monthly flea, tick, and mosquito preventatives.

Ideal Home: Kyungjoo’s perfect match would be someone patient, experienced with dogs, and able to understand and communicate with shy dogs. A quiet home with a relaxed lifestyle would suit him better than a bustling downtown environment.

Kyungjoo is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Kyungjoo is $780.
