Get monthly updates about dogs like Lody and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Lody is among the fortunate 16 canines rescued from a challenging hoarding situation, where an elderly individual had kept them confined in a residence. Unfortunately, due to the senior’s severe illness, they could no longer provide proper care for these dogs, resulting in their enduring tough circumstances. Each of these rescued companions has undergone thorough veterinary assessments and received necessary vaccinations, deworming, as well as spaying or neutering.

Lody tends to be a bit reserved around unfamiliar faces. It takes some patience for him to warm up, but once acquainted, he reveals a sweet and amiable side.

Lody gets along well with other dogs. He finds joy in playtime with his furry companions and exudes happiness and cheerfulness in their presence. He walks well on a leash and enjoys a car ride, making him a wonderful companion for adventures.

Health-wise, Lody is living with Addison’s disease, but he’s doing well as long as he stays on his monthly medication. The cost of his medication ranges from $200 to $250 CAD per month. With his medication, Lody can lead a happy and problem-free life.

An ideal adoptive family for Lody would be experienced with dogs and has another friendly canine companion for him to interact and play with. He thrives in an environment where other dogs are present. Someone who works from home or is retired, with ample time to spend playing with their beloved furry companions, would be an excellent match for him.
