Get monthly updates about dogs like Gumi and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

In 2020, Gumi was found on the streets of a small village in Paju, Korea. She ended up in a high-kill shelter, where her future looked bleak as no one came to claim her. But just in time, she was rescued before her name reached the euthanasia list.

Since then, she’s been living with other dogs in a local shelter. Gumi is gentle and friendly, though a bit shy around new people. As time goes by, her shyness fades and she shows her affectionate side, wanting to build real connections. Overall, Gumi gives off a calm and humble vibe, radiating inner strength and a submissive charm.

With other dogs, Gumi is a picture of harmony. She never gets into fights or conflicts. Yet, beneath her peaceful demeanor, she longs for more—a desire to be close to people and soak up their attention. Gumi’s true happiness comes from those special moments spent near her human companions, basking in their affection.

Gumi’s dream home is one with plenty of time and love to give. If you’re looking for a peaceful and loyal companion for your retired life, Gumi is all ready to fill that role.
