In the summer of 2022, Gowon and his sister, Seokyung, were rescued from the streets of a small village in Paju, Korea. While Seokyung has already found her forever home in Toronto, Canada, Gowon is still searching for his own special place. Since his rescue, Gowon has been living with a loving foster family who has provided him with a nurturing environment.

Gowon may appear shy and cautious around strangers, often taking time to warm up to unfamiliar faces. However, in the presence of his foster family and those he knows well, he is sweet and loving. With a gentle and submissive nature, Gowon exhibits no signs of separation anxiety, proving to be an adaptable and resilient companion. He particularly enjoys outdoor activities and going for walks with his foster family.

The only “issue” is that he is unable to hear any sounds, though there are no indications of any ear-related diseases or pain. Despite this hearing impairment, Gowon’s intelligence shines through, and he effortlessly communicates with both people and fellow canines. Through patient teaching, his foster family has introduced him to sign language, enabling him to comprehend the most fundamental commands. His obedience and sweet demeanor make training and communication a joyful experience.

To ensure Gowon’s continued growth and happiness, his ideal adopter would have previous experience with rescue dogs. They would ideally work from home or be retired, allowing plenty of time and attention to be devoted to their furry companion. Patience, ongoing support, and consistent training are essential for Gowon’s success. Additionally, the presence of another happy and confident fur sibling would greatly benefit Gowon, providing companionship and further enhancing his overall well-being.
