Get monthly updates about dogs like Gangsae and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Gangsae is a living testament to resilience and the power of compassion. He was among the fortunate 101 dogs rescued from the harrowing conditions of the Siheung dog meat farm in May 2022. Trapped within grimy, filthy wire enclosures, their days were marked by surviving on inedible scraps of human food waste. It’s a heart-wrenching reality that dogs on such farms typically avoid consuming highly toxic food waste until they’ve endured several days without sustenance, reaching a point where they can no longer endure hunger.

Right after being rescued, Gangsae was extremely timid, avoiding direct eye contact with humans. He would crouch in a corner, trembling in fear at the mere presence of humans. The trauma of his past weighed heavily on his spirit. However, slowly but surely, he started opening up, thanks to the compassionate care provided by our colleagues in Korea.

As you can witness in the heartwarming videos, Gangsae was initially shy, but he now radiates happiness and excitement when around the boarding house manager. He trusts her completely, allowing her to do pretty much anything for his care. Gangsae is a lovely boy, and though he still feels shy around strangers, we have every reason to believe that he will continue to come out of his shell with time.

One of Gangsae’s siblings, Dolsae, is already at a training school and is flourishing, getting along with everyone he meets. We have a dream for Gangsae too – to provide him with the same opportunity for socialization, leash training, and the joy of going for walks. We believe that with a little bit of help from a professional trainer, Gangsae can learn new things and become ready for adoption, just like his brother.

But, here’s where we need your support. The reality is that only a limited number of dogs can be sent to the training school due to our financial constraints. We’re committed to giving Gangsae the best chance at a bright future, but we can’t do it alone.

Your sponsorship can make a world of difference in Gangsae’s life. With your generosity, we can provide him with the training and socialization he needs to fully recover from the trauma he endured in his past. Your support will not only transform Gangsae’s life but also allow us to rescue and rehabilitate more dogs like him, offering them a chance at a happy, loving forever home.
