Eunyoung is a precious pup who overcame a challenging start in life. She was 1 of 6 babies born to her mother, Sihwa, who was rescued from the Siheug dog meat farm that was shut down in May 2022. After being rejected by their mother, she and her siblings were hand-reared by the shelter volunteers. They remained living at our partner boarding house in Korea until they flew to Canada to find their forever home. She currently resides with a foster family in Coquitlam with her siblings Eunpa and Eunchan.

While her sister is sassy and her brother is a gentleman, Eunyoung is a little lady. She gets along well with her siblings and other dogs and is a gentle girl even when playing. Her mellow personality gets along well with other dogs. Even when her sister gets a little too excited during playtime, she is very patient. If you’re looking for Eunyoung, she is often found cuddled up to one of her siblings or following her humans around looking for someone to give her pets and head scratches.

Upon arriving at her foster home, Eunyoung warmed up quickly. Aside from her first day, she is quiet and doesn’t bark at home. While she has experience with kids over 8 and does well, she prefers the company of adults. When she is looking to interact with humans, such as when she seeks companionship or pets, she always approaches adults instead of kids/teenagers. She currently does not show any signs of separation anxiety when she is left alone with her fur siblings with a TV or radio on.

Eunyoung is housetrained and knows how to go potty outside as well as on pee pads indoors when needed. She is good on a leash and is a polite walker.

As she has become accustomed to her humans being homes with her, Eunyoung’s ideal home is one that has plenty of time to spend time with her. While we believe having another friendly dog in the household would be the best for her adjustment, it is not a requirement for adoption. Despite her difficult beginning, Eunyoung is a gentle and friendly girl who gets along well with her siblings, other dogs, and people. Her gentle and sweet disposition is sure to win over anyone’s heart.
