Dosam was one of the eighty-three survivors of the heart-wrenching Dangjin dog meat farm in 2018. Alongside his sister Dohee, Dosam’s journey is a testament to the strength of spirit in the face of unimaginable cruelty. Dosam and Dohee endured unspeakable horrors in tiny, wire-bottomed cages, victims of a dog meat farm’s brutality. They faced beatings and lived in filth, with human food waste as their only sustenance. Their lives were a living nightmare, void of comfort or care.

Identified as the most fearful, Dosam and Dohee were freed from their cages and tormentors’ grip. This marked the start of their road to recovery. Under the guidance of compassionate trainers, Dosam and his sister embarked on a healing journey at a dog training school. After six months of patient work, they learned to wear leashes and venture outside. This seemingly simple step was a monumental victory, symbolizing their newfound freedom and strength over their traumatic past.

Two years of progress led Dosam to a private boarding house, where he experienced regular outdoor walks. Despite his progress, the toll of his past caught up with him. Ailments in his hips and legs reminded us of the harsh life he had left behind. At eight years old, Dosam’s health began to wane, a reminder of the hardships he endured.

While a future in Canada was hoped for, Dosam’s weight prevented his travel. Despite this, there’s a chance for him to find solace through sponsorship. With your support, Dosam’s loneliness can be eased, and his medical needs met. Your kindness can span continents, offering Dosam the love and care he deserves.
