**Note: Doori is available for adoption in Toronto. Her flight from Korea to Toronto is scheduled for March 1.

Doori is a true survivor with a heart full of love. She was among the lucky dogs rescued from a puppy mill in Jinan, Korea, last spring. Imagine a life in a dark, dirty cage inside a makeshift house, with no fresh air or sunlight. That was her harsh reality. Forced breeding for profit was all she had ever known. But then, a miracle happened – the puppy mill was shut down, and all these precious lives were saved.

After she was rescued, Doori lived with a foster family and recently, she joined our partner boarding house. The vet checkup went well, and she is in good health and ready to find her forever home.

Doori is a bit shy around strangers, and it will take some time for her to warm up. Once she gets to know them, her sweet and gentle nature shines through. She enjoys staying close to her humans and is good with other dogs, never showing any signs of aggression. Doori loves going for a walk and is good in the car. She is very quiet indoors.

Please note that we are looking for a family who has another small friendly dog. Doori is happier and more confident when she is with other dogs. She is gentle and submissive and will be great as a second dog.

Doori’s ideal family is one where someone works from home or is retired, allowing for plenty of dedicated time for their furry companion. She’s a mellow and friendly girl, and whoever is fortunate enough to adopt her will truly be lucky.
