Get monthly updates about dogs like Doe and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

Doe was one of the lucky survivors of the Dangjin dog meat farm when Free Korean Dogs stepped in to shut down the operation in 2018. Crouched in the corner of his cramped, rusted cage cowering in fear, it was obvious Doe had endured unimaginable horrors.

Following his rescue, Doe embarked on a transformational journey alongside fellow dosa dogs at a training school. Initially gripped by fear, he displayed a curious spirit. Leash training was a challenge at first, but over time, he learned that nothing bad would happen, and he grew comfortable wearing it.

Currently, Doe lives in a private home with other dogs rescued from the same dog meat farm. He is friendly and gentle around people, and loves being around children. He is extremely happy when he is with people he loves. Doe would be a great companion in Canada, but his weight is too much for the airlines’ limits.

While Doe has warmed up to people, he remains cautious around other dogs, a common behavior observed in dog meat farm rescues. He has his own kennel, where he is happy to spend most of his time undisturbed.
