Get monthly updates about dogs like Dodi and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.
Dodi is one of the lucky 83 dogs that were rescued from the Dangjin dog meat farm in 2018. The terrible conditions of that farm have left lasting memories of pain and suffering. In that dark and cramped space, Dodi used to shy away, unable to make eye contact with humans, clearly showing the trauma she had been through.
After her rescue, Dodi started a journey of healing with other dosa dogs at a training school. Although she was initially scared, she showed a curious nature. Getting used to a leash was difficult at first, but eventually, she understood that it wouldn’t harm her, and she became comfortable wearing it.
Currently, Dodi lives in a private boarding house with other dosa dogs rescued from the same farm. She shows friendliness and gentleness towards people, and her happiness is obvious when she is around those she loves. Dodi has all the qualities to be a beloved companion in Canada, but her weight exceeds the airlines’ maximum limits.
Dodi has become more comfortable around people, but she is still wary of other dogs, a common trait among dogs rescued from meat farms. She has her own kennel, where she spends most of her time.
As Dodi gets older, she faces physical challenges like joint pain, which requires continuous support. Choosing to sponsor Dodi would provide her with the necessary care and comfort for the rest of her life in Korea. Your kindness will ensure Dodi continues her remarkable journey with dignity and well-being.
