Daisy was one of the nine puppies who was born from a stray dog one cold winter day. After being rescued, she lived in a shelter with other dogs. It was so lucky that her five brothers have been adopted by wonderful families in Toronto. Now it is Daisy’s turn!

Since she grew up in a shelter in a more rural area, Daisy didn’t have much “outside world” experience. She is a bit shy around strangers, but becomes very sweet and friendly with people she knows such as the shelter staff. She just needs a little time to warm up. When she was at the shelter, she was timid and nervous in new situations. However, since moving to a foster home in October, we have seen a lot of progress, particularly around being outdoors and discovering the world.

While nervous outdoors previously, Daisy now loves going for walks. Her foster has taken to doggy day care and a doggy spa where she did very well. She loves other dogs and always wants to greet them when she meets them on her walks with her tail wagging behind her. She is particularly drawn to other Jindo dogs and dogs her size, and prefers the company of gentle and friendly dogs (ie: not too high energy).

She is still shy with strangers, but has bonded with her foster mom and has shown a lot of improvement with her foster dad.

Sweet Daisy’s ideal home would be with another dog her size, as she seems happiest and most confident in their company. (Big bonus if the dog is a jindo, as she seems to have a breed preference!)
