In 2020, three puppies who were believed to be siblings were rescued from being euthanized. One of the puppies, named Sohwa, was adopted by a family in Canada, but Daehwa is still waiting for her forever home. Until 2022, Daehwa lived in a shelter, but earlier this year, she was placed in a foster home.

Generally, Daehwa is shy around strangers, but once she warms up to someone, she becomes very sweet and adorable. Her foster family sometimes takes her to a dog cafe or daycare, where she loves to play with other dogs. She gets along well with dogs that are gentle and friendly, but she’s afraid of hyper-dominant dogs.

Daehwa loves going for walks, but she was nervous at first. She’s getting more comfortable with outside noises, although she’s still scared of sudden loud noises sometimes. Indoors, she’s calm and not afraid of sounds like a hair dryer or vacuum cleaner. She’s very neat, smart, and obedient. She’s good at washing her feet and taking a bath after a walk, and she’ll wait outside if you tell her not to come in.

She’s still a little nervous in the car, but she doesn’t get carsick. She has no separation anxiety and is fine sleeping in her own bed alone. When guests come over, she barks a couple of times to alert her family, but she calms down quickly.

The cutest thing about Daehwa is that she gets along well with cats. She kisses and snuggles with them, takes naps with them, and even shares treats with them. She’s not very interested in her own toys, but she sometimes plays with cat toys.

Daehwa would be a great match for someone who’s looking for a quiet and independent dog that gets along well with cats. She’s a bit shy and independent, like a cat, and likes to stay in her own space. Whoever adopts her will be very lucky to have such a lovely girl.
