*Note: Eomji currently is with a foster family in Vancouver.

Eomji was found in the remote mountains with her puppies, where they were sent to a city pound and faced euthansia. We are unsure if she was a stray dog who ended up there, or abandoned there because she was pregnant. She lived with a foster family in Korea prior to flying to Canada to find her forever home. She is currently staying with a foster in Vancouver.

Eomji has come leaps and bounds since she’s been rescued. She enjoys the company of other dogs and plays well with them. However, she gets a little bit nervous around dogs who are high energy or have dominant personalities. In her current foster, she lives with another dog (Newfie-doodle) who she mostly ignores, as we believe he his young energy might disinterest her, but she is respectful of him and his presence. They co-exist well together and respect each other’s boundaries.

Going on walks is probably Eomji’s favorite activity, especially on the trail and the beach (although she is not the biggest fan of the water). She is very polite in greeting other dogs she meets and walks well on leash. Indoors, she has a quiet personality and currently does not show any signs of separation anxiety. While she enjoys the company of people, she is also independent enough and not demanding. Her foster is able to leave her alone without issue or destruction. In her Korean foster, did well in the elevator and doesn’t have an issue with cars or the vacuum cleaner. She is house trained.

Eomji has a gentle, quiet, and submissive personality. Her ideal home is with an active family who enjoys being outdoors and walking the trails as much as she does. She would do fine either as the only dog or with another canine sibling. She does not have experience with cats.
