  • Weight: 5.6 kg (13 lbs)

Update: Youngsoo has found a forever home in Vancouver. Yay!

  • Note: Youngsoo and his sister, Younghee, are with a foster family in Vancouver now.

Youngsoo and his sister, Younghee, were rescued from the Siheung dog meat farm in May. From the moment we stepped onto the property, they were among the most curious and friendly. After being rescued, they have been living at our partner boarding house with the other 99 dogs rescued from the farm, and among others.

Youngsoo gets along well with the other dogs at the boarding house and plays well with them, but he can sometimes be bossy and assertive. When he is not playing, he is looking for a human to give him pets and attention. He has a sweet and affectionate personality, and does well when being handled physically (such as during his vet exams).

He is learning how to walk on leash and learning how to ignore outdoor stimuli, as he can get excited and pull. His adopter should be committed to continuing to work on his leash skills. Knowledge and/or experience on how to distract and redirect his attention would help him greatly.

His ideal home is with a family who has the time to spend with him, seeing as he loves the company of people as he is still young. Someone who is retired or works from home and enjoys outdoor activities with dogs will be great.
