Shirley was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Masan, Korea 4 years ago. After she was pulled from the shelter, she lived in a dog boarding house. Despite the safety of living there, her rescuer noticed she was not getting the socialization she needed as the owner of the boarding house was quite negligent in her care outside of providing food and shelter. So, she was moved once again and recently joined our partner boarding house.

Before moving into our care, we were told Shirley was extremely scared and nervous. However, it turned out she is very sweet and affectionate, and was simply not provided the opportunity to show how much love she has to give. Shirley loves getting attention from humans and being pet, and will approach on her own initiative when she is in need of love and cuddles. She also plays well with other dogs and is very gentle with them.

Shirley’s ideal home is in a calm and relaxed environment and people who have the time to spend quality time with her, as she loves being with her people.
