  • Note: Currently, Lele is with a foster in Vancouver.

Lele was rescued from a puppy mill in Byukjae, Korea. Although in bad shape when he was rescued, he has since recovered without issue. After his rescue, he lived in a boarding house in Korea before flying to Canada to find his forever home. He recently completed a health checkup including a dental exam where scaling and extractions were completed. Other than a few missing teeth, he is healthy and ready for his forever home.

Despite his background and most puppy mill survivors being very under socialized, Lele is very sweet and friendly with humans. He loves to be around people and loves human attention. Lele lived with over 80 other dogs when he was living in the boarding house, and currently lives with another small breed FKD alum at his foster home. He prefers the company of small dogs who have a calm and mellow energy, but he ultimately prefers human company above all else.

Lele is potty trained and does his business outdoors. He knows how to use pee pads (he used them for the first 2-3 days when he first arrived in his foster home) but prefers to do his business outside. He walks very well on leash, but his foster notes that once you stop in one place for too long he will begin to whine to be picked up. However, when he is actively walking his is excellent. We believe this is simply because Lele just wants to be held by his human all the time.

He is 100% a lap dog and loves to cuddle with his human in bed, his in their lap, receive belly rubs, and shower his human with kisses. He can get attached to a single person more than others and show possessiveness of his human (He will let out small barks and grumbles, but does not get aggressive), and should be taught that this is not good manners and will not be given attention for this behavior. In general, Lele will take to women almost instantly but takes time to warm up with men.

Lele would be a wonderful companion for someone who is retired or has a lot so spare time at home. He has some separation anxiety as he just loves he human(s) so much. He would thrive in a home that has a lot of time to provide him with the attention he loves and craves. Lele would also prefer to live in a more relaxed household with people living a relaxed, leisurely lifestyle.

His adoption fee is $460 CAD.
