It was one fine summer day in 2017. Larry and his siblings were found dumped on the side of the road beside a local shelter in Paju, Korea. They were adorable puppies; all very affectionate and sweet. The lucky puppies were sent to fosters and eventually they were all adopted (two puppies, Newman and Wilson, have been adopted in Canada).

It seemed to be happy endings for all until last November. The shelter manager discovered that Larry lived in the country as a guard dog. When the adopter got pregnant, she sent Larry to her parents’ house in countryside. Larry lived outside tied to a pole with almost no care. It was so sad to see the beautiful Larry living lonley outside in cold winter. The shelter manager had to bring him back to the shelter. Currently, Larry lives with a foster family who adopted Larry’s sister two years ago.

Larry is a very well-manered gentle boy; he doesn’t bark; grooming and bathing are fine; and he is house-trained. After he was returned from the country, Larry showed some anxiety when he went out for a walk. It was probably because he was nervous and scared of being abandoned or taken to another place again. It is getting much better now and finally he starts enjoying his walks.

The ideal adopter is someone who has experience with dogs and lives a relaxed lifestyle. Someone who can spend a lot of time with Larry (someone retired or working from home) would be ideal. Larry is very smart, loyal, friendly, and obedient. He will be a great companion dog.
