Update: Joey has found a forever home in Vancouver. Yay!

*Note: Joey is currently in foster in Delta, BC.

Joey and Betty were found together in a small village last spring. They were chained and left alone in an empty abandoned farmhouse. The owner showed up once a week and left human food waste which was uneatable. So every couple of days, our volunteer brought dog food there, and eventually, she became close to Joey and Betty. But one day she noticed that they were gone. The owner sold them to a dog meat seller. It was a miracle that she caught them before they were sent to a butcher shop.

After they were rescued, we brought them to our partner boarding house. Joey lived there with other dogs until recently.

Joey is a gentle and friendly boy.  He gets along well with other dogs and is also good with people. Pretty easy-going and chill!

His ideal adopter is someone who lives a relaxed lifestyle in a quiet neighborhood and has time to spend with him. Someone retired or working from home will be great.
