Jessie was rescued from a dog tonic shop in Korea last January. The dog tonic, Gaesoju in Korean, is a drink that is made with dog meat and herbs. Many people in Korea consider it as health supplement. She was one of the seven puppies who were locked in a cage in front of the shop. When a puppy is selected by a customer, he/she is killed for Gaesoju. Luckily the seven puppies were all rescued and are waiting for their forever families. Rain, on the right, has been adopted by a wonderful family in Toronto.

Jessie is a sweet fella who is very cute, friendly and loving. She will be sad to be separated from her siblings but will settle in soon.

Now it is Jessie’s turn. She is coming to Vancouver on June 14th.
