Get monthly updates about dogs like Jelly and follow their journey from suffering to a forever-loving home.

NOTE: In an effort to move the dogs out of the shelter before winter, Jelly will be transported to Toronto. Due to a shortage of flight volunteers, the dog will be transported by cargo, which will cost over $3,000. Free Korean Dogs will be asking adopters to contribute $1,500 towards the cargo fee to help with transportation and costs.

Jelly was rescued from a highkill shelter 5 years ago in Korea when she was a tiny puppy and was lucky to be adopted immediately by a shelter volunteer. However, the happy moment didn’t last long. She was surrendered back to the shelter because Jelly and the adopter’s dogs didn’t get along well. Jelly was rescued again by another shelter volunteer before being euthanized. The poor baby was sent to another local shelter; Jelly lived there for four years. During the years, Jelly was sad and depressed.

Last spring, Jelly was picked up by a shelter volunteer and was moved to the current boarding house where she can freely run around and play with other dogs. Since being moved to the new place, Jelly has become very cheerful and happy. As seen in the videos, she is energetic, very playful and also very affectionate and sweet to people.

Jelly’s ideal adopter is with a family who can provide her with consistent leadership. She is cute as a button, and will use it to her full advantage! Without a calm and confident leader, Jelly will bend and make up her own rules when given the chance.

A family with someone home during the majority of the day (retired or working from home) and living in a calm and quiet home would be ideal.
