Update: Heeyoung has found a forever home in Vancouver. Yay!

Note: Heeyoung is currently in Vancouver.

Heeyoung was rescued from a man who raised dogs to sell to the meat market. He would often get drunk and beat the dogs when he was intoxicated. Neighbors would complain about hearing the dogs crying during these episodes of abuse. One day, Heeyoung was found limping with an obvious broken leg. The neighbor reported her owner had kicked her badly. After our volunteers begged the owner to allow them to bring her to get treated, he agreed, and she stayed at our partner boarding house during the treatment. Luckily, as she is young her leg healed quickly and well with no issue. After telling the owner he would be reported for animal abuse, he agreed to surrender Heeyoung into our care. Until Heeyoung left Korea, she lived in a shelter with other dogs.

Despite her abusive past, Heeyoung is still very trusting of humans. She is a popular girl at the shelter among the volunteers and other dogs where she wins everyone over with her sweet, gentle, and obedient nature. She is also very smart; she learns new things fast and also house-trained. She will make a wonderful addition to a very lucky family.
