Haengbok was rescued from a very neglect situation in Gapyung, Korea. She was tied to a pole with heavy iron chains around her neck. Often, no water or food were given for several days. Haengbok was pregnant at that time but had no place to rest or hide from rain or the sun.

After being rescued, Haengbok was sent to a shelter; she gave birth to five puppies. But one day all of her puppies were suddenly disappeared; the shelter manager or no one knew what happended to the puppies. Realizing that the shelter was not safe for Haengbok, she was moved to a different boarding house. Currently, she lives in a safe place with other dogs.

Haengbok is a very adorable girl. She is very quiet, gentle and loves to be around people and very affectionate (once she gets comfortable). She is good on leash and loves going for a walk.

Hanegbok is still a little bit nervous around other dogs, but as long as they are friendly, she is ok. She just needs more time to learn how to socialize with other dogs.

The ideal adopter is someone who has experience with dogs and lives in a quiet neighborhood.

Haengbok means ‘happiness’ in Korean.
