Haebang

Details:

  • Status: Adopted
  • Breed: Siberian husky
  • Age: 4 years, 4 months
  • Gender: Male
  • Spay/Neuter: Yes
  • Size: Medium
  • Weight: 24 kg (51 lbs)
  • Location: Toronto

Update: Haebang has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

  • Note: Haebang is in foster, Toronto.

Haebang was rescued from an abusive owner in Milyang, Korea: who physically beat him and leave him alone outside for days without food or water. After obtaining video evidence of a beating incident, he was away from the owner to safety.

After being rescued, he lived with other dogs in a boarding house for 4 months and then was moved to a foster home in a US millitary base. Haebang was very popular among the millitary officers. When Haebang arrived in Toronto, he made himself comfortable quickly and greeted his fosters like they were old friends.

His favorite thing is to go for a walk, and play fetch. Haebang is fine with dogs including small dogs as long as they are gentle and friendly, but he doesn’t like bossy, hyper dogs. He also walks well on leash.

Haebang has not shown any signs of separation anxiety so far. He is very quiet (no barking or howling), relaxed and chill at home. While he enjoys the human companionship, he also enjoys the quiet time alone: easy-going and very mellow.

The ideal adopter is someone who lives an active lifestyle in a quiet neighborhood and has experiences with large dogs. Haebang is a lovely fur baby and will be most happy as the only dog in the house. Although he went through a lot, he still trusts and loves people. He is a great fur companion.
