Gyoha was found abandoned at a train station last fall. He was tied to a bench and with no one to claim him for several days, animal control was called to “rescue” him and he was went to a high kill shelter. Luckily, he was rescued again before euthanasia.  He lived with a foster family until he left Korea.

Given hix likely abandonment, Gyoha was wary with his fosters in the beginning. He needed time to figure out his new situation, but after being given some time and space he’s become very friendly and affectionate. He loves his walks and does well with bathing, grooming, and riding in the car.

Gyoha’s ideal home is with a family that is experienced with dogs and knows how to read their body language. His adopter should understand his sensitivity and insecurity in the beginning, be able to work with and advocate for her. With the proper support and guidance, Gyoha turns into a big love bug, but patience and understanding is required.
