Update: Great has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

Great was rescued in 2017 from a high kill shelter in Incheon city. Her rescuer brought her to our partner boarding house saying she was going to adopt her, and asked the shelter manager if she could keep her for a few days until she could sort out a few arrangements. However, the rescuer never returned and ended up cutting off all contact, so Great has been living there ever since.

Like her breed, Great is a gentle giant with a very mellow and laid back personality. She is great with all humans and gentle with dogs of all sizes. However, unlike a typical Pyrenees, Great does not do well with small critters, including cats. She is also terrified of thunderstorms.

Her ideal home would be one in a spacious suburban setting and a secure yard where she can explore and lounge around. A calm household with a family experienced with large breeds and an understanding of the Great Pyrenees breed would be preferred. If there is another friendly dog in the house, it will be great for Great.

  • A home with cat is not ideal for Great. She barks at small animals (small dogs are fine).
