Fugo

Update: Fugo has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

NOTE: Due to COVID19 and a shortage of flight volunteers, the dog will be transported by cargo flights, which will cost over $4,000 CAD. Free Korean Dogs will be asking adopters to contribute $1,000 CAD towards the cargo fee to help with transportation and costs. The total fee that adopters have to pay is $1,960 CAD ($960 CAD for adoption+$1,000 CAD for cargo flight).

Fugo is a 8 month old shiba mix weighing 12kg (26lbs) who was rescued from a small village in Incheon, Korea where he was tied to a pole in the middle of the cabbage fields. He has been there since he was a puppy where he was kept chained with a metal collar as a guard dog. As Fugo grew, his collar became too small and cut into his neck causing a horrible wound, but his owner ignored him and left him alone to guard the field.

Eventually, he was found by a farmer who loved dogs and tried tirelessly to save him. After many attempts to convince his owner to surrender him, Fugo was rescued and taken to safety.
Despite being robbed of his puppyhood, Fugo is energetic, playful, sweet, affectionate, and social. His ideal family is one with experience with dogs, living in a house with a yard where he can run free and play. Having another doggy sibling would make Fugo very happy, as well as humans who are home for the majority of the day to spend time with him as well.

Vaccination Details

DHPPL, Canine Influenza, Kennel Cough, Rabies, Corona, Heartworm test, Giardia test, Flea & tick & heartworm prevention are all done.
