** Note: Eddie is currently in a foster home in Vancouver.

Eddie is one of seven puppies who was born last summer to Sihwa, a rescue dog from the Siheug dog meat farm that was closed down in May 2022. Unfortunately, Sihwa was too young to care for her puppies and even attacked some of them. For their safety, the shelter staff had to separate the puppies from their mother, and they were raised by the dedicated shelter staff.  At present, Eddie is residing with a foster family in Vancouver, where he enjoys the company of another dog.

When he first arrived in Canada, he walked out of his crate immediately and was very eager to greet his new humans. He follows his foster humans around wherever they go and happily accepts (or asks for) pets, scratches, and belly rubs. Being the affectionate boy he is, he loves to cuddle and shower his human with kisses. Second to his love for humans is his love of food. Eddie’s food motivation helps him make positive associations which makes his training easier.

Eddie, with his gentle nature, initially approaches outdoor adventures with a hint of caution, especially in new surroundings. Yet, his innate curiosity gently nudges him forward, encouraging him to explore and delight in the scents and sights around him. Despite his growing confidence, Eddie remains sensitive to loud noises, such as motorcycles and garbage trucks, which can startle him. For this sweet boy, a serene neighborhood would be an ideal haven, offering him the peace and comfort he needs to truly thrive.

To ensure Eddie’s happiness, his ideal adopter would have ample time to spend with him, as he loves his humans more than anything and has not been left alone too much. A home with a secure, fenced-in backyard in a peaceful residential area would be ideal for Eddie, as he is sensitive to loud noises and needs a calm environment. Eddie is a wonderfully affectionate and cuddly boy, and the family that welcomes him into their hearts and home will be incredibly fortunate to have such a loving and loyal companion.
