Update: Donghae has found a forever home in Vancouver. Yay!

*Note: Donghae is currently with a foster family in Vancouver

Donghae and his brother, Namhae, were rescued from a high-kill shelter earlier this year. After being rescued, they lived with other dogs in a dog boarding house before flying to Vancouver to find their forever homes. His brother was recently adopted by a family, and now it’s Donghae’s turn!

Donghae is currently with a foster family in Vancouver where he shares his home with another FKD alum. While understandably a little shy and timid (albeit it curious) when he first arrived with his foster, he has warmed up and adjusted quickly. He has become quite comfortable with both his human and canine fosters. His foster sister has been a great leader for him in helping him find his confidence, and they get along well.

This adorable little scruff is very sweet. Donghae is very active and playful. Luckily, his foster sister loves to play too.

His ideal home is where people are home for the majority of the day to spend with him as he is still young. Also, an adults-only household will be better for him. He is happier and calmer when he is with adults in a quiet home. Also, Donghae would love another friendly dog sibling to play with. His adopter should also be committed to continuing his socialization with people and other dogs.

Donghae means “east sea” in Korean.
