**Please note Dong Dong is currently with a foster in Vancouver, BC and will only be available for adoption to residents of Vancouver and surrounding areas**

Dong Dong was rescued in 2019 from a man who was raising dogs to sell to the meat market. He then moved to our partner boarding house in early 2020 and is now with a foster family in Vancouver, BC.

He is a jindo/corgi mix with a very sweet and calm temperament with a quiet personality. Although he can be shy with humans, he enjoys being in their company, is always gentle and accepts pets and belly rubs. He enjoys stuffy toys and well as chewing on his dental sticks. Currently, he lives with 2 other small dogs who he gets along with well. He is potty trained (his foster says he’s never had an accident!) and has never shown any destructive behaviors in the home.

It is important to note Dong Dong is still getting used to being outdoors, especially if triggered by something that might scare him like a loud truck. It will be important for his adopter to be diligent with his safety. Overall, he walks well on leash and likes to greet every dog he sees on the street.

This handsome boy’s ideal home is:

  • A calm and low activity home with adults only, or older teenagers
  •  Active humans who enjoy walks, runs, hikes, etc.
  • A quiet neighborhood (as the sounds of trucks and traffic still scare him)
  • A home with a secure yard to run around
  • A home with another friendly dog is highly preferred (another confident dog he could mirror would also help him overcome his fears)

Vaccination Details

DHPPL, Canine Influenza, Kennel Cough, Rabies, Corona, Heartworm test, Giardia test, Flea & tick & heartworm prevention are all done.
