Update: Cheolsoo has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

  • Cheolsoo will arrive in Toronto on July 3, 2021.

Cheolsoo was one of the three Shelties purchased from a breeder. But his owner surrendered them to a local shelter after losing his business due to the pandemic. Cheolsoo’s two siblings were rehomed in Korea, but Cheolsoo had no luck to find his family.

Cheolsoo is very social and playful. He loves dogs and humans all the same – running and playing with other dogs and then snuggling up with his humans. He is smart, obedient, and very friendly to everyone. The only “issue” that his foster noticed was potty-training. When he accidently pees or poops outside a peepad, he gets nervous and hides in a crate. He might have some negative experiences with his previous owner during puppy potty training.

Cheolsoo is Sheltie, which means he is energetic, highly trainable, and intelligent. His ideal adopter is with a family who is familiar with the breed (or herding type breeds) and knowledgeable in how to keep him physically and mentally engaged (including agility, possibly). He would do best with an active family who enjoys being outdoors and lives in a quiet suburban setting. Experience with playful/energetic dogs and how to channel their energy would be preferred. A house with a fenced in backyard is a must and another playful dog in the house will be a bonus.
