Update: Chani has found a forever home in Vancouver. Yay!

*Note: Chani is currently in foster care in Nanaimo, BC.

Chani was about a 6 month-old puppy when he was found roaming the streets in Paju, Korea.  He then lived in a humble shelter with other dogs. The shelter he where he stayed had many dogs and few resources, which meant he had to stay in his kennel most of the time. However, Chani was always sweet and obidient to the shelter staff and loved getting attention. Chani has now flown to Canada to find his forever home and has settled in well with his foster family.

His foster family describes him as being sweet, affectionate, obidient, and chill. As as soon as he arrived in his foster home, he quickly and excitedly greeted his foster parents with kisses. He let them put on his harness with no issue or hesitation. Chani craves human companionship. If you’re looking for him, he is likely found lying right beside you while working or watching TV.

He also loves his daily walks and seems to have good stamina. He is great on leash and walks right beside you, keeping at your pace. This makes him a great walking/hiking buddy and a joy to walk with.

At home, he is potty trained and non-destructive. He is also friendly and respectful to his canine foster brother, and follows him everywhere he goes. Chani has quite a submissive and quiet personality.

Chani does not have experinece with cats, but does not care about the birds he encouters in the yard.

His ideal adopter is someone who has experience with dogs and lives a relaxed lifestyle in a quiet neighborhood. Someone who has patience and works from home or is retired will be great.
