* NOTE: Due to recent flight/travel restrictions resulting from Covid-19, it will take longer for your adopted dogs to get to you. Please only submit an application if you are able to wait until a flight volunteer can be secured. Please note we currently do not have a definitive timeline.
Our regular method of transporting dogs using flight volunteers has drastically decreased due to current flight/travel restrictions. An alternative, quicker option of flying via cargo can be made available, although at a greater financial cost. The cost can range from $1500 CAD to $2600 CAD depending on the size and weight of the dog, airline, and destination city. Dogs traveling via cargo will be able to arrive sooner as they are not dependent on travelers to bring them.
Applications for Toronto are temporarily paused in order for us to prioritize flights for adopted dogs waiting to fly home. We will return to Toronto soon, although we do not currently have a timeline for reopening. Applicants from Seattle, Washington are now eligible to apply!
Bongyi was a street dog who lived in a small village in Dangjin, Korea. Last spring Bongyi was found by a local cat mom/FKD volunteer. The cat mom left some dog food for Bongyi and the next time when Bongyi saw her, she followed the cat mom and wouldn’t leave her. As seen in the photos, Bongyi had severe skin dieases and was very skinny.
It took four months for Bongyi to complete her vet treatments. She is now healthy and ready for her forever home.
Bongyi is a playful, happy and sweet-tempered girl. She gets along well with other dogs and is also very affectionate to people. Bongyi will be perfect for someone who is looking for a second dog, or even for a first time dog owner.
DHPPL, Canine Influenza, Kennel Cough, Rabies, Corona, Heartworm test, Giardia test, Flea & tick & heartworm prevention are all done.
