* NOTE: Due to recent flight/travel restrictions resulting from Covid-19, it will take longer for your adopted dogs to get to you. Please only submit an application if you are able to wait until a flight volunteer can be secured. Please note we currently do not have a definitive timeline.

Our regular method of transporting dogs using flight volunteers has drastically decreased due to current flight/travel restrictions. An alternative, quicker option of flying via cargo can be made available, although at a greater financial cost. The cost can range from $1,000 CAD to $4,500 CAD depending on the size and weight of the dog, airline, and destination city. Dogs traveling via cargo will be able to arrive sooner as they are not dependent on travelers to bring them.

Benzo and his mother were rescued from a highkill shelter in December in 2019 before being euthanized. He was about 3 months old at that time. Since then Benzo has been living in a boarding house with other dogs.

Benzo gets along well with other dogs and has a pretty easy-going personality. Although he is a little bit shy around strangers, he likes to stay close to people. In fact, one of his favorite things is to play with toys beside shelter staff or volunteers. He is a very loving and goofy boy.

Someone who has experience with dogs and lives in a quiet house with a fenced in backyard will be great.

Vaccination Details

DHPPL, Canine Influenza, Kennel Cough, Rabies, Corona, Heartworm test, Giardia test, Flea & tick & heartworm prevention are all done.
