Update: Areum has found a forever home in Toronto. Yay!

Areum was born to a mother who was kept as an outdoor guard dog and neglected. She had given birth to a previous litter, one of which was Fugo who suffered horrible neck lacerations as a result of a metal collar being too small and cutting into his skin. Fugo was being kept outside and neglected as a guard dog as well, but was eventually rescued and has been adopted by a wonderful family in Toronto. Although the owner refused to surrender their mother, they did allow us to help spay her.

Areum currently lives at our partner boarding house and has quite a typical puppy personality. She is very sweet and gentle, as well as obedient and smart. She enjoys playing with the other dogs at the shelter and gets along with everyone.

Her ideal home is with a family who can continue his socialization with both people and other dogs during these formative years, as well as a household where people are home for the majority of the day to spend with her as she is still young.
