Update: Alice has found a forever home in Vancouver. Yay!

  • Note: Alice is currently with her foster in West Vancouver.
Alice was rescued from a dog meat farm on Jeju island last spring. She lived in our partner boarding house with over 80 other dogs until she left Korea.
Despite her horrible background, Alice was a “model dog” when she was living in Korea. The trip to Canada was a bit difficult and confusing for her in the beginning, so she was sent to a board and train program (where she is currently staying) to help her rebuild her confidence and learn new skills.
She currently lives with other dogs, and she is very respectful of them and their boundaries. She gravitates more towards male dogs and less towards females, especially females who are more high energy or dominant in personality.
Alice meets many people at her current residence. She can be shy at first, but is eager to connect and work with people and tries to win you over every moment. She is learning to be patient and lay down to wait for her food, to play fetch, and to “drop it”.
This sweet girl will happily roll over and ask for belly rubs. She is very sweet and affectionate towards people, and listens well to instructions. She is brave, smart, and deals with challenges best via positive associations.
Alice’s ideal home is with someone who has an experience and understanding of dogs. She requires someone who is patient and understands positive association. Someone who has the time to spend with her during the day and living in a quiet neighborhood is ideal. A home with a secure fenced yard is a priority.

Alice has been through a lot, but has also come a long way and has shown what a smart and adaptable girl she is with so much potential. She will make a very lucky adopter a wonderful companion.
