Come and meet our adorable rescue dogs available for adoption at PetSmart in Etobicoke!

  • When: February 29 (Sat) ~March 1 (Sun) , 2020
  • Where: PetSmart Etobicoke ( 158 N Queen St, Toronto, ON M9C 1A8)
  • Time: 11 am to 3 pm

While not all foster dogs will attend (their well-being is paramount), our team is eager to meet you. Whether for adoption, volunteering, or info, we’re here. Visit and connect!

Adoption Process

  1. Please submit your application before the adoption event (you can still apply, although you haven’t selected your dog yet).
  2. Selected applicants will get contacted for a phone interview.
  3. Applicants have to come to PetSmart to meet their dogs and also for a second interview.
  4. Home visit, reference & vet check.
  5. Sign the adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee.
  6. Adopters pick up their dogs from foster home

Founder and Executive Director, Free Korean Dogs

Originally from South Korea, EK moved to Canada in 2002. Despite a career in visual media, her passion for advocating for vulnerable animals grew stronger. Volunteering with local rescues like Toronto Street Cats, she felt a deeper calling. Everything changed during a visit to her family in Korea when she witnessed the harsh truth of the dog meat trade's cruelty towards defenseless dogs. This experience led to the birth of Free Korean Dogs, driven by her mission to raise public awareness and protect these animals.
