Background
Woosan wandered into a police substation in rural Paju, Korea, during the hot summer of 2018. She was reported as a stray and later taken to a public shelter, where she faced the heartbreaking possibility of euthanasia. Thankfully, Woosan was rescued. But for the past eight years, she has been living in a modest local shelter, waiting for her forever family.

Eight years is far too long for any dog to spend waiting. Woosan is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves people. She has been ready for a second chance for a very long time.

Personality and Socialization
Woosan is a gentle and affectionate girl who loves people. She is friendly with both men and women and has a sweet, loving nature. When she is with people, she is comfortable and cooperative in many different situations.

Woosan is also gentle and friendly with other dogs. However, she is happiest with calm, well-mannered dogs. In a large group environment, especially when many dogs are barking or becoming excited, Woosan can become overwhelmed and uncomfortable. For this reason, she would do best as the only dog or with one calm, gentle canine companion.

After spending eight long years living surrounded by so many dogs, Woosan deserves a peaceful home where she can finally relax and enjoy life. We hope her next home will be a quiet and loving one where she can spend the rest of her life feeling safe, cherished, and truly at home.

Behaviours
Woosan enjoys going outside and prefers to do her business outdoors. She can be a bit nervous in new environments, but she is generally good with baths, car rides, and walks. She is also a very patient boy. Even when something is not her favourite, she tries her best to cooperate with the people she trusts. She wants to please her humans and is a very loving, devoted companion.

Woosan enjoys a quiet, peaceful environment. She loves sunbathing, watching other dogs play, and, most of all, staying close to her humans.

Health and Diet
Woosan is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. She has been dewormed and receives monthly parasite prevention. Before she travels to her forever home, she will receive a dental scaling. Her lower front teeth are somewhat worn from chewing on the wire bars of her kennel, but she shows no signs of discomfort. Overall, Woosan is healthy and ready to begin the next chapter of her life with her forever family.

Ideal Home
Woosan would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a gentle, affectionate, people-loving dog. She would thrive in a calm, peaceful home where she can enjoy plenty of companionship and spend her days relaxing with the people she loves. For someone who is retired or looking for a calm, quiet rescue dog to share life with, Woosan could be a wonderful match. She would be happiest simply being near her person, enjoying peaceful days together.

Woosan may be happy living with another friendly, well-mannered dog, but careful matching would be important. A home without another dog could also be an excellent fit for her, especially if her family can provide her with plenty of love and companionship.

Woosan has spent eight long years waiting for someone to choose her. Despite everything she has been through, she remains a sweet and affectionate dog who loves people. We hope her forever family is out there, ready to give this gentle Jindo the peaceful, safe, and loving home she has always deserved.

Woosan is available for adoption. The fee to adopt Woosan is $280.

Note: US adopters are responsible for customs clearance fee, which is approximately $220 USD.
